“Someone for everyone”

Something old

Someone for everyone

There has over the years been much debate , books and even movies on the belief that there is such a thing as two people who are meant only for each other and who are destined to meet somewhere in their lives. Also referred to as: "The One" or in this instance, the phrase: "Someone for everyone".
I think everyone needs something to believe in.
Some people (as mentioned above) believe that there is only one person in the entire universe (yes one), that you are destined to meet who can and will be the person you are meant to be with, almost like pre-ordained or fate.

While some people are realists who believe that anyone can be "The One" if you work hard, compromise, listen and become best friends.
Others, believe that love just happens naturally, that it comes to you and you’ll just know that it is the right love when it happens, a feeling (that I obviously haven’t gotten yet).Something unexplained inside yourself.

Others still, believe in The knight in shining armor, The princess in the tower, and The Moment. The moment   that they looked at each other and the whole room became quite and everything slowed down and they knew in their hearts that he/she was the one and The kiss that sealed their love eternally. (I admire these people).
Then there’s ME, I believe in HIM & HER.
Let me try and explain.
You know how you usually introduce your guy to your friends and your family and to strangers that you haven’t seen in a long time and happen to bump into at the mall or park or gym. It would usually be something like:
“Hi, how have been? This is (name of person) my Boyfriend, Husband, Lover, Partner etc etc” ….
Well, one day when I find my person, whenever that may be, and I happen to bump into you, it’ll go more like:  “Hi, how are you?  This is HIM”.
And you will know, not just by my words or the glow in my eyes that this is my husband or boyfriend. You will know because when I say HIM, it is an all encompassing him, he needs no titles, no elaborate introduction, no further explanations, not even a name.
Why you may ask? because everyone knows HIM or HER.
Your: hubby, cuddles, boo, sweetness, wolfy, , pup, wifey, ,angelpie crocodile… lol
Everything you feel, have felt or will feel just rolled into three letters.

I’m not sure yet if I believe in or could believe that there is someone for everyone (by that I mean: one person in this universe destined for another), but I do believe that we are all destined to find love, and someone who will love us, someone who will offer their lives and hearts and bodies to us and for whom we are willing to do the same. It might not be the one you wanted, hoped for, the one you’re with or the one you haven’t met yet.Sometimes your someone is with someone else. All I know is that we should be grateful when we do find this person and hold on with everything that we have.
But most of all, no matter what the next person believes or lives by, keep holding on to what You believe in.

  2. Lol the first part of this is very deterministic lol which I think is a by and large BS the universe is way to indifferent to create a special human just you. I'm glad to see that you dnt hold that notion, the idea of "HIM" to me does not sound deterministic this is why I like the emergant nature of finding "Him" or "her" becuase the odds of that happening are heavily stacked against us all! That makes it something really special when are lucky enough to find such a thing,
